Medically Modern Expands Coverage to Nearly All Major Payers Following Mid-Island Medical Supply Acquisition

Acquisition expands coverage beyond Medicare to Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Anthem BCBS, Fidelis, NYSHIP, New York Medicaid, Horizon BCBS and other payers

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, August 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- NEW YORK, August 31, 2026 -- Medically Modern, a nationwide provider of continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps and related diabetes supplies, today announced that its acquisition of Mid-Island Medical Supply has expanded the company's insurance coverage from Medicare only to nearly every major commercial and public payer.

Through the transaction, which closed on October 31, 2025, Medically Modern acquired active payer contracts including Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Fidelis Care, the NYSHIP Empire Plan, New York Medicaid and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The expansion removes the most common barrier patients face in obtaining continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps. Patients who previously could not be served because their plan was out of network can now receive supplies through their existing insurance.
